More than 6,000 people attended this month's Annual Cookie Rally for the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas at SeaWorld San Antonio. The park has hosted the event for the past decade, and this year SeaWorld team members treated the Girl Scouts to a special presentation of SeaWorld shows, including the new Shamu show "One Ocean." Scouts (who were tall enough) got to ride The Great White and Steel Eel coasters.

The event also served as a donation drive for the San Antonio Food Bank. Girl Scouts, their families and guests donated thousands of pounds of food, making it the ninth year that they've partnered with the Food Bank.

In partnership with more than 8,000 adult volunteers, Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas serves 21,500 girls in its 21-county jurisdiction. Girl Scouting helps girls ages 5-17 develop the courage to experience new adventures, the confidence to defy self-doubt, and the character to impact a community. This year marks the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts of the USA. For more information, visit www.girlscouts-swtx.org.
